About Me

My work lives where light and emotion meet, where craft becomes a language of storytelling. For more than thirteen years, as a cinematographer, I’ve collaborated with all of Bangladesh’s renowned film directors and producers, bringing stories to life across feature films, fiction, documentaries, music videos, and over a thousand television commercials.

Beyond cinematography, I have explored direction and creative producing, including a handful of original stories. Among them is the online cooking show “What’s Cooking”, which earned the Srijon Samman 2014 Gold Award for Best Digital Advertising Content. These projects allow me to experiment with narrative rhythm, storytelling design, and emotional resonance in ways that complement my cinematographic work.

As a photographer, I’ve collaborated with leading advertising agencies, fashion designers, and brands across Bangladesh since 2003. My photographic work spans editorial, event, personal branding, and family photography, seeking to capture the subtle moments that connect people and evoke lasting memories.

My journey now extends beyond Bangladesh, with creative collaborations in Canada and across the globe. Through this work, I explore how local experience and global perspective can coexist within a single frame, creating images that feel both rooted and universal.

I have been fortunate to mentor emerging cinematographers, many of whom are now contributing to Bangladesh’s vibrant film industry. Witnessing their growth is a quiet honor, one that continues to inspire me to approach my work with humility and curiosity. On set, I bring clarity, calm, and collaboration. I value preparation and technical precision, yet I leave room for accident and discovery, because the most truthful moments are rarely planned. I see the lens as a translator of emotion, turning light, time, and performance into a visual rhythm that serves story and human truth.

Art, for me, is never tidy — it is broken, beautiful, and everything in between. That is the space where I live and create.

“Light doesn’t just reveal — it remembers.”
